Voice and audio recording for meetings and memos

Enregistreur Vocal & Audio is an Android app for recording sound on your phone: a meeting, a spoken memo, or a musical idea you want to keep. The developer says it captures any sound with a single tap and sets no limit on recording length. Both stereo and mono recording are supported.

The listing describes the app as free.

Recording presets and quality settings

The app offers three predefined recording modes, so you can start a recording without adjusting anything. If you want more control, you can set the sample rate and bit rate yourself. Playback is advertised as high quality.

Choosing mono or stereo is part of the same setup, so a voice memo and a music session can each be recorded with settings suited to them.

Noise suppression and gain control during capture

The developer lists three processing options: noise suppression, echo cancellation and automatic gain control. These are intended for recordings made in noisy rooms, in a call-like setting, or where the speaker's volume changes.

Each one is a setting you can use alongside the recording modes, not a separate tool to open afterwards.

Starting, marking and tagging recordings

A recording can be started from the notification shade or from a home screen widget, without opening the full app. During a recording you can add markers at points you want to find again, which helps when you review a long meeting. Recordings can also be tagged with labels so they are easier to sort later.

Recording keeps going in the background and with the screen turned off, so you can switch apps or lock the phone while it runs.
