What the app changes on your lock screen

Zipper Lock Screen & Wallpaper is a personalization app for Android that replaces how the lock screen looks and how you get past it. It is aimed at people who want their phone to match a particular style and who want to change that style often.

The main change is the unlock gesture, which the developer presents as a zipper you drag open. Wallpapers and themes sit alongside it, so the lock screen and the background behind it can be set up as one look.

Zipper unlock animation

Instead of a standard swipe, you unlock by swiping across an on-screen zipper. The developer describes the effect as realistic and says it is paired with smooth animations.

The developer calls this an interactive lock screen. Each unlock is meant to be a small animated moment rather than a plain screen change.

Live and HD wallpapers

The app includes live wallpapers and moving wallpapers, which play behind the lock screen rather than sitting as still images. The developer lists these in HD.

Because the wallpapers animate, the lock screen looks different from one unlock to the next. The developer presents this as the main reason the unlock feels fresh.

Themes and zipper customization

Themes cover cars, football, cute designs, chic aesthetics and vibrant neon styles. Each theme is a group of wallpapers that share a look.

You can also change the zipper itself, including its style, colors and design. That lets the unlock match a chosen theme or a personal color scheme.
