What Zoho Workplace is for

Zoho Workplace is a mobile front end for Zoho's office apps. The developer describes it as a way for teams and businesses to write, communicate and share work from one place. The suite covers email, messaging, an intranet, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, file storage, and meeting and training tools.

The listing points most clearly at people who already work inside several Zoho apps and want to move between them without opening each one separately.

Opening the Zoho apps from one screen

The main screen lists the Workplace apps: Mail, Cliq, Connect, Writer, Sheet, Show, WorkDrive, Meeting and ShowTime. Each one opens with a single tap. Mail Admin is listed separately and is only for admins.

Because the apps share one launcher, a user can jump from a message in Cliq to a file in WorkDrive or a document in Writer without leaving the Workplace app.

Searching across all Zoho apps at once

A single search bar looks for a keyword across every Workplace app. Results can be filtered by a specific contact or by individual app, and finer filters narrow them further.

Search results can be previewed in place, including Connect posts and WorkDrive files, so a quick check does not need a full open. A search can also be saved and run again later.

Tuning how search behaves

Search settings let a user change the order in which apps appear, pick the app that search defaults to, and set highlighting preferences. The developer lists these as personal settings for how search works.
