ドットアビス combines pixel-style animation, idle progression and loot-driven dungeon crawling. You play as a commander who recruits bishoujo characters and sends them into the Great Hole, a deep pit at the center of the story.
The listing points to players who enjoy character RPGs, dot art, idle or training games, and play sessions short enough to fit around other things.
You field a party of up to 10 characters, and the listing says each character's role and skill combinations change how a fight goes. Battles run automatically, so most of the work is in choosing who to field and how their skills combine.
Fights include defense battles that protect your forward base from calamity enemies, which the listing describes as huge creatures that fill the screen. The battles are drawn in the same dot-animation style as the rest of the game.
Characters you send out keep exploring while you are not playing, collecting equipment and crafting materials. You pick which gear to keep and equip, which is where the loot-collecting side of the game comes in.

The game is made by creative team Kumasan, which the listing says was formed around DMM GAMES designers led by Hase P. ドットアビス is the team's first title. Google Play rates it 14+.
