Apple TV is a streaming app built around Apple Original series and films, with live Formula 1, MLS and Friday Night Baseball sitting alongside them. Most of it requires an Apple TV subscription, and the live sports are part of that same subscription.
It suits someone who wants current Apple series such as Ted Lasso, Severance or Silo, or who follows F1 or MLS and wants the races and matches in the same place as everything else they watch.
The subscription includes a library the listing describes as thousands of hours of Apple Originals, covering drama, science fiction and comedy. Titles named include The Morning Show, Shrinking, Slow Horses and the film F1 The Movie.
Apple Originals and new releases are offered without ads. Viewing is limited to the number of simultaneous streams allowed for each subscription.
Every Formula 1 Grand Prix is listed for live viewing, with coverage of each practice session, qualifying, the Sprint and the race.
MLS is listed as live for the regular season, the full playoffs and Leagues Cup, with no blackouts. Friday Night Baseball carries live MLB matchups on Fridays during the regular season.
Continue Watching keeps your place in each show or film across all your subscriptions and devices, so you can resume where you stopped. The Watchlist saves titles you intend to watch later.
Recommendations are personalized using everything you watch in the app.
Other streaming services can be added as Apple TV channels. These are not included in the Apple TV subscription, and subscribing to one is charged to your Apple Account at purchase. Rentals and purchases of content are also outside the subscription.
You manage and cancel subscriptions from Settings in the Apple TV app. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
