Census 2027- Houselist

What the Census 2027 house listing app is for

Census 2027- Houselist is a mobile app from the Office of The Registrar General, India, made for the house listing operation of the Census of India 2027. The listing presents it as the digital route for collecting housing and household information across the country. It is aimed at the people carrying out that field work.

The developer positions the app as a replacement for traditional paper-based surveys. Its stated purpose is to collect data on housing and households, and the listing presents this as groundwork for the population enumeration phase that comes after.

Recording housing and household data on a phone

The app is used to record housing and household information on a mobile device. The listing describes it as the replacement for paper forms, so the data is entered in the app rather than written by hand. The listing does not describe the individual screens or steps of the form.

Validation checks during data entry

The listing says the app performs real-time validation as data is collected. The developer links this to faster collection and to better accuracy in the records. The listing does not say which checks are applied or what triggers them.

Security of the collected records

The developer describes the platform as secure. The listing gives no further detail on how records are stored, transmitted or accessed.
