EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile 27 BETA is a limited test version of the football game for phones and tablets. The listing presents it as a way to try new ways of building a squad and setting up tactics before the main release. Its two headline additions are Gauntlet Mode and Game Plan, with new PlayStyles also included.
The game is listed under Sports and rated Everyone. Its new systems sit alongside the existing squad and match modes, so the beta is mainly about trying the changes rather than starting over.
Gauntlet Mode tests how deep your squad is. You move through a series of rounds, and each round has its own match objectives and gameplay modifiers. Completing objectives earns Stars, which unlock Rewards and let you advance further through the Gauntlet.
House Rules change how individual matches play. The listing names Hot Zone, Position Hero and No Rules as examples of these rules.
A Game Plan combines a formation with one of five Mentalities: Ultra Attacking, Attacking, Balanced, Defensive or Ultra Defensive. You can create up to four Game Plans and switch between them during a match, so your approach on the pitch can change as the game goes.
Game Plans work across several PvP and PvE modes. The listing names H2H, Manager Mode, PvE Matches and Custom Team matches as supported.
The beta adds new PlayStyles, which are player traits that change how a player stands out on the pitch. The listing introduces these as part of the Mobile 27 update, alongside Gauntlet Mode and Game Plan.
Because the game is in a limited beta, the features described here are being tested in this version and may not match the final release.
