The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

The fastest, easiest way to explore movies, music and other content for your Android TV, when you need it.

The Google app for Android TV is a search and discovery tool for the television. The developer lists it under Tools and describes its main job as helping people find movies, TV, music and other content when they want something to watch or hear.
Most of its features are reached by speaking into the TV remote. Searches can cover films, TV, music and other media, and the results point to the content itself rather than a general web page.
Voice search is the main entry point. A spoken request for a movie, a show or a song returns matching titles, so you do not need to type on the remote's on-screen keyboard.
The build we hold is Google app for Android TV 7.54.25+920674574.00 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

The listing names movies, TV and music explicitly, along with other content types. Each search is a single spoken request.
Beyond the search box, the app lets you move through a film to its actors, or a musician to their albums. Films, actors, artists, apps and albums are all listed as places you can navigate between.
This suits a viewer who remembers a performer rather than a title. Starting from a person and working outward through their work is the way the listing describes it.
You can ask Google for quick facts about almost anything, and the answer comes back on the TV screen. The listing does not limit these questions to entertainment topics.
Google Search can also turn up content from other apps installed on the TV. A search for a title can therefore show where it is available across the apps on the device, not only within Google's own services.
