Gym Workout Planner & Tracker: Gym trainer for weightlifting & strength training
By Irfan Rosli
News editor
Gym Workout Tracker is a logbook and routine planner for gym training. It covers goals the listing names directly: muscle gain, endurance, maximal strength and toning. Beginners who do not know where to start, and experienced lifters who want harder programmes, are the people the listing says it is for.
Its main job is to replace a paper notebook. You record weight and reps against each set, and the app keeps the history so you can review it later.
The build we hold is Gym Workout Tracker: Gym Log 1.6.5 (APK) for Android 10 and up.

The app generates routines for a chosen goal and adapts them to the equipment you say you have. It calculates your 1RM, the maximum you can lift for one rep, and uses that figure to set the weights in each routine. You can update the 1RM, sets or reps at any point, and regenerate the routine if you want a different version.
You can also build your own routines from its exercise database. The listing says there is no cap on how many routines you create, how many edits you make, or how many exercises you add to the database. Each exercise can be given its own sets, reps, weight and rest period.
During a session you can log a set on its own, then move to the next one, or enter every set of an exercise in a single action. The listing describes both as ways to skip paper entirely.
The rest timer can run on one overall duration across a workout or be set separately for individual exercises. According to the listing, logging and timing work without a network connection.
The exercise database holds more than 500 movements. You can browse them by muscle group, by equipment or by keyword. Each one comes with HD photos, videos and written steps. The listing presents these as a way to check your form and reduce the chance of injury.
Exercises can be added to the library by the user when one you need is missing.
Progress is shown in several forms. A bar chart plots your highest calculated 1RM, your maximum weight and your maximum volume. A line chart follows your body weight. A calendar and history view shows how often you trained, how long each session lasted and how hard it was.
You can attach a note to a session to record how you felt or leave a tip for next time. The listing says the app is free to use.
