What the HD Wallpapers app is for

HD Wallpapers, Wallpaper Maker is an Android personalization app for building wallpapers and changing the backgrounds on your phone. The developer, GeniusTools Labs, pitches it as a way to replace either the home screen or the lock screen background.

It is aimed at people who want to restyle their device often. The listing centres on 4K and HD images, so the main use is choosing or shaping a background that fits a particular look.

Making and editing your own wallpapers

The app includes a wallpaper maker and an HD wallpaper editor. The developer says a wallpaper can be put together in about a minute, and that the tools are meant to let you create personalized looks without much effort.

Because the editor works on HD and 4K images, the output is intended to be high-resolution backgrounds rather than small thumbnails.

Switching backgrounds and choosing 4K images

A background changer lets you swap one wallpaper for another whenever you choose, so the look of the phone is not fixed to a single image.

The 4K wallpaper changer and the 4K backgrounds cover higher-resolution options. The listing describes these as a way to match the device to a style you pick.

Setting wallpapers on the home and lock screen

Each wallpaper can be applied to the home screen, the lock screen, or both. This is the main thing the listing says the app is for, so most of the features described above lead to this step.

Wallpapers you make or pick in the app are set through the same flow, so there is no separate process for the lock screen.
