What kind of game this is

Idle Apocalypse is an idle clicker game in which you run a cult and build toward the end of the world. Most of the play is resource management: you gather materials, spend them on new parts of your base, and let production run while you are away.

The tone is deliberately sinister and comic. The premise is a cult, a tower and a horde of monsters, with the Idols, a group of demon gods, as the endgame goal.

Building and expanding the tower

The tower is the main structure you grow. Materials unlock more than 40 rooms, and the tower can be built both up into the sky and down underground.

Rooms hold production buildings such as mines, juicers, kitchens and factories. Tapping generators speeds up progress, so you can push the tower forward faster than it grows on its own.

Monsters, spells and tapping

Tapping creates monsters, which you use to fight invading heroes. The listing describes casting spells against those heroes as a second way to defend the tower.

The game has more than 20 monster types across goblins, beasts and demons. You can evolve, upgrade and improve them over time.

Summoning Idols and replaying with prestige

Summoning the Idols is the route to the Apocalypse. Prestige resets your progress in exchange for chants, which carry into the next run and help the tower grow higher.

The developer says you can play through the game several times. Each run builds on the last, and each one unlocks new mechanics.
