What Mi Orange is for

Mi Orange is the official app for Orange customers in Spain, from individuals to businesses with up to five lines. It is free and handles the account side of an Orange contract: bills, lines, usage, support requests and home router settings. Most of what it does is a view of your existing services, not a separate product.

The app is built around the everyday tasks a customer has with a phone or home contract. Anyone with one or more Orange lines, or a Livebox at home, is the intended user.

Viewing and downloading invoices

You can open the full breakdown of each invoice and download it as a PDF or have it sent to your email. The app also lets you compare one month's bill with another, which is useful for spotting a change in cost. The listing says self-employed customers can get the invoices they need for quarterly VAT returns.

Billing settings are also in the app. You can change your billing cycle or the bank account the bills are charged to.

Managing lines, tariffs and data use

For each line on your contract, the app shows the tariff and the services attached to it, and lets you change them. This covers the lines on a business account as well as personal ones.

Usage is shown per line: minutes and megabytes consumed, a call-by-call record, and any extra charges that go beyond your tariff. This lets you see where a bill's extra cost came from without calling customer service.

Support chat and order tracking

The Orange Assistant lets you chat with an Orange agent from inside the app. The listing says this runs 24/7. It is the in-app route for questions that come up outside the screens for bills and lines.

The app also tracks orders. You can follow the provisioning status of a fibre connection and the delivery of a new smartphone.

Setting up a Livebox router

If you have an Orange Livebox, the app lets you manage its Wi-Fi network and configure the router. You can also see and set up the devices connected to it. Router settings are kept in the same app as your bills and lines, so there is no separate tool for the home network.
