🏹 Old School RuneScape
By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Old School RuneScape is an online role-playing game set in the world of Gielinor, based on RuneScape as it was in 2007. The developer says new content is voted into the game by the community, so the world changes according to what players ask for.
It suits people who played RuneScape years ago and want to go back, and players new to the series who like long-running online worlds with a lot to train and unlock. The developer states that over 300 million accounts have been created since 2001.
The build we hold is Old School RuneScape 241.4 (APKS split bundle) for Android 8.0 and up.

The game has 24 skills. Combat and Slayer sit alongside non-combat skills such as Fishing and Runecrafting, and Sailing is the newest addition. In Sailing you captain your own ship, sail to uncharted islands and collect rewards from the open sea.
The developer describes four ways to approach the game: maxing every skill, building a PvP account, playing as an Ironman, or exploring at your own pace. These are set when you start, so the same world supports very different goals.
The listing mentions hundreds of quests with humour, danger and fantasy storytelling. They run from early beginner quests up to Grandmaster challenges, and the developer says they keep classic RPG quest design while adding more depth.
Quests have you solve mysteries and defeat named enemies, and the outcomes shape your character's history. Membership adds hundreds more quests on top of the free set.
The endgame centres on bosses and multi-player raids, including Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Tombs of Amascut. The developer says these cover everything from a first raid to competitive raid mastery.
Membership unlocks additional exclusive bosses and raids. Access to the wider endgame therefore depends on whether you hold a Membership.
One account works on mobile and desktop across the same game worlds. The developer's example is starting a quest on a phone and continuing it on a computer, with progress kept between the two.
The game is free to start. Membership is a paid option that adds 9 skills, hundreds of quests, exclusive bosses and raids, a larger world map and more bank space.
