This page needs its stylesheet to be shown

The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

PiP Tube: Float Video Player for Any Video Site

Picture-in-picture window that stays on top of other apps
Drag the floating player anywhere and resize it
Built-in browser for YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Rumble
Live streams, music videos and clips in one floating player
Add any other video website as a source

What PiP Tube does on an Android phone

PiP Tube plays online video in a small picture-in-picture window that floats above the rest of the phone. Its main purpose is to keep a video running while you do something else on the device, such as texting, chatting, browsing or using another app.

It suits people who want to watch video alongside other tasks rather than give it their full screen. The listing presents it as a way to multitask with video, watching and texting, watching and browsing, or watching and playing.

Keeping a video floating over other apps

A video pops out into a compact window that stays visible over the home screen and over other apps. You can drag this window to any part of the screen and resize it to the size you want.

Because the window sits on top, you can keep watching while switching to messages, a web page or a game. The developer describes this as the core of the app.

Watching YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Rumble

PiP Tube includes a built-in browser that opens video sites directly. The listing names YouTube videos, music videos and live streams, Twitch streamers, TikTok clips and Rumble channels as things you can watch and float.

You can also add any other video website yourself. The listing says that if a site plays video, PiP Tube can show that video in a floating popup.

Floating video from any site with a player

Because the app works with any site that plays video, it is not limited to a fixed list of services. Sites with their own video players can be opened inside the built-in browser and sent to the floating window in the same way as the named services.

The listing does not describe separate accounts, playlists or saved libraries, so the app's function is best understood as floating whatever video a page is playing.
