Recorder

What the Recorder app is for

Recorder is an audio recording app from Motorola Mobility, listed on Google Play under Music & Audio. The developer describes it as a place to create, play, edit and share your recordings, with audio notes as the main thing you capture.

Its listing puts the emphasis on keeping notes in order, so you can find them again without searching through everything.

Making and playing back audio notes

You create recordings in the app and play them back from the same place. The listing frames this around audio notes, meaning short recordings you make to keep something for later.

Editing and sharing recordings

After a recording is made, the listing says you can edit it and share it from within the app. The developer does not describe the editing tools in detail, so this page does not go further than that.

Organizing notes for quick access

The app is built to keep audio notes sorted so they can be reached quickly. This matters most if you record a lot of notes and need to return to specific ones.

Recording in the background

Recorder can keep capturing audio while you use other things on your phone. The listing presents this as a way to multitask, so a recording can run while you work in other apps.
