This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.
Allow CSS for this site — including in any content blocker or privacy extension that may be stopping it — then reload the page.
Fully customizable Root Browser for Android users and rooted superusers
By Hafiz Rahman
Editor, tools and utilities
Root Browser Classic is a file manager aimed at rooted Android devices. The developer describes it as giving full root access, so it can reach parts of the file system that ordinary file managers cannot.
It suits people who already root their phones and need to move, rename, copy or inspect system-level files. Its two-panel layout and batch operations are built around that kind of work.
The build we hold is Root Browser Classic 3.4.0(27919) (APKS split bundle) for Android 6.0 and up.

Two file manager panels sit side by side, so files can be copied or moved from one folder to another without navigating back and forth. The listing says any file or folder can be zipped, tarred, deleted or moved, and new files and folders can be added to any directory.
Batch copy and paste lets several files move in one operation. Folders can also be created and deleted, and a single file can be pulled out of a zip, apk or jar without extracting the whole archive.
The app can change file permissions and ownership, which matters when a system file needs different access settings. The developer also lists an SQLite explorer for opening database files stored on the device.
Other tools include executing script files and installing zip packages through ClockworkMod recovery. The listing also says the app can open the files and folders belonging to other apps.
Files can be viewed in list, grid or thumbnail format, and they can be sorted by name, size or date. Archives such as apk, rar, zip and jar files can be explored and their contents viewed or edited.
Bookmarks store frequently used files and folders for quick access. An integrated search function is included for locating files by name. The theme can be changed by double tapping the home button, and files can be sent by email.
