Who ShotView™ is for

ShotView™ is a companion app for chronographs. It pairs with Xero chronographs and ArcheryX compatible devices, and it turns the speed readings from each shot into organized sessions you can review later.

Shooters who want to track velocity over a session, compare loads, or keep records by firearm will find most of the app's features aimed at them. Archers using ArcheryX devices get a separate set of session views described further down.

Following a live Xero C2 session

When the app is connected to a Xero C2, the developer says you can watch a session as it happens, with a muzzle velocity chart that updates in real time. You can close the app and come back to a session later, and you can switch between live sessions if more than one is running.

Edits to the session name and the shot list sync between the C2 and the app, so a change made in one place appears in the other.

Reviewing shot data after a session

Once a session ends, the app lays out each shot's speed alongside derived figures: deviation, extreme spread and kinetic energy. You can exclude cold bore shots and other outliers from the session calculations, so a single flyer does not skew the averages.

Each shot can carry a note, and you can mark it as clean bore or cold bore. Sessions can be given custom names and filtered by weapon type. When you need the numbers somewhere else, the raw data exports to CSV.

Profiles for platforms and ammunition

You can build custom profiles that describe your platform and your ammunition, then attach a profile to a session. The developer describes these profiles as configurable, so you set up the fields you need rather than working from a fixed template.

Because each session carries its profile, sessions that used the same rifle or load can be found and compared without retyping the details.

ArcheryX sessions, charts and shot grouping

For ArcheryX devices, the app shows session cards with full shot lists, and you can filter them by session type. The Charts tab holds comparison charts across sessions as well as charts for a single session, and the Shots tab includes Aim Path and Float Analysis data.

Within a session you can edit and group shots, and the app reports performance statistics. Help pages are built into the app for the parts that are less obvious.

Cloud storage and a Garmin account

ShotView™ can send recorded shot and session data to the cloud. Saved data can then be opened on other phones, and it can serve as a backup if you change devices or lose a phone.

Storing data in the cloud requires a Garmin account.
