What the teleprompter app is for
Teleprompter.com is a teleprompter for people who need to read words off a screen while they perform on camera or in front of an audience. The developer names video creators, speakers and performers as its main users. It is also listed for reading song lyrics.
Its listed strengths are mirroring, speed control and the way the text is laid out on screen. Those three are what the developer puts first when describing the app.
Reading a script while filming video
The developer presents the app as a teleprompter for video recording, so the script is meant to sit on the screen while the camera is running. You load or type your text and read it as it moves.
Speed control sets how quickly the text moves, so the pace can match how fast you talk. Mirroring is also listed as a feature, which the developer groups with speed control as a main reason to use the app.
Speeches, presentations and reading lyrics
The same screen works for speeches and for song lyrics, according to the listing. A speaker can keep a prepared talk in view, and a singer or performer can follow lyrics at a set pace.
Because one reader covers all three uses, you do not need a separate app for each kind of text.
Free version and Pro features
The listing describes the app as free. It also says Pro features are available, and it places them alongside the free version rather than replacing it.
The listing does not give Pro features in detail, so the free version is the part that is described most fully on the page.
