A space adventure powered by daily walking

Walkr is a galaxy adventure game with a pedometer built in. It records your daily steps automatically, and those steps are the main resource in the game. People who want a reason to walk more, and who would rather track it inside a game than a fitness log, are the group it is aimed at.

The story puts you on a spaceship travelling across the cosmos. Each walk you do adds to the energy that keeps the ship moving, so the game moves forward as you do.

Step tracking and energy on your spaceship

The pedometer runs in the background and logs steps each day without manual entry. The steps convert into walking energy, which fuels the spaceship for travel between destinations.

The app also tracks energy spent, measured through both calories and steps. Those figures sit alongside the game's progress, so the walking you do shows up in the game as well as in your totals.

Exploring more than 100 planets

Walkr lists more than 100 planets to visit. Named examples include Caramel Apple, Octopus Cavern and Heart of Flames, each with its own look and setting.

Travelling between planets is how you move through the story. Reaching a new one is the reward for the energy you have built up by walking.

Rescue missions for lost space creatures

Across the universe you meet lost space creatures who need help getting home. Missions send you to help them find their homes.

The missions run alongside exploration, so each planet you reach can also be part of a rescue task.

Building and growing your own galaxy

Walkr includes a galaxy-building mode. You shape your own galaxy and look for new ways to increase its population.

This part of the game is separate from the travelling and rescue missions, so it gives you a place to spend the progress you make on the ship.
