Werwölfe Vollmondnacht

What the companion app is for

Werwölfe Vollmondnacht is a companion app for Ravensburger's Werwölfe card games. The games are played with the physical cards at a table, and the app is used alongside them. According to the listing, it cannot be used without those card games.

The listing targets groups of 3 to 10 players for the older titles and 2 to 6 for the younger one, which makes it suited to family game nights and gatherings of friends.

Which Werwölfe card games it supports

The app supports Werwölfe Vollmondnacht, MorgenGrauen, Vampir Dämmerung and Epic Battle. It also supports the Harry Potter edition, titled Kampf gegen die dunklen Mächte. These are for 3 to 10 players from age 9. A separate title, Werwölfe Nacht der Jungwölfe, is for 2 to 6 players from age 6.

Mixing roles across the Werwölfe games

When several of the four core games are combined, the listing says over 40 roles with different abilities come into play. Named roles include the Seherin, the Unruhestifterin and the Werwölfe themselves.

The game runs in night and day rounds. Once the night ends and day begins, the group has to decide which of them they think is a werewolf.

Playing the Harry Potter edition

The Harry Potter edition, Kampf gegen die dunklen Mächte, lets players take on the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermine Granger. It is for 3 to 10 players from age 9, and is played with its own card set.
