What the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox app covers
BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox is an email and calendar client that pulls several mail accounts into one place. Alongside mail and calendar events, it also shows social notifications from Facebook, WeChat, Twitter, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, among others. The listing says a version is also available for Android Wear watches.
The listing presents it for people who keep more than one mailbox and want to stop switching between apps to check them.
Connecting email accounts
The app works with Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook.com and Microsoft Exchange accounts. It also accepts other IMAP and POP3 email providers, so a mailbox that does not come from a big name can still be added.
Once accounts are connected, their messages are read in the same inbox, so a person with a work address and a personal one does not need a separate app for each.
Sorting, snoozing and filtering messages
Snooze hides a message until a chosen date, time or location, then brings it back. This suits mail that needs a reply later rather than now.
Custom views let you organise, filter and group messages according to the criteria you set. The listing gives no further detail on which criteria are available.
Replying to mail and calendar invitations
When you write a message, the app suggests contacts as you type recipients. You can also respond to a message or a calendar invitation directly from the inbox without opening a separate calendar app.
A rich formatting toolbar lets you highlight parts of an email so the reader's attention lands on them. A dark theme is available for the whole interface.
Work and personal accounts on Android Enterprise
The app supports Android Enterprise deployment. Where an administrator permits it, personal and work email accounts can be combined in one inbox.
The listing states that work data stays separate from personal data in storage even when the two accounts share the same screen.
