This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

A new event begins the moment you tap a date.

Samsung Calendar is a calendar and task app for keeping events and to-do items in one place. The listing says a new event starts when you tap a date, which makes it a quick way to add something to a particular day.
It suits people who keep more than one calendar, or who want a calendar that sits on the home screen and shows what is coming up. The listing describes it as a tool for remembering events and tasks, and the reminder settings are part of that.
The app pulls in several calendars at once, including Google Calendar, so work, personal and shared schedules can be read side by side. Each calendar can be given its own color code, and events in that calendar take the same color.
The color coding is what lets a busy week stay readable. You can tell at a glance which calendar an event belongs to without opening it.
Schedules can be shown as a year, a month, a week, a single day, or a task list. A horizontal swipe moves forward or back one unit at a time, so you can step through a month or jump ahead a year without opening a menu.
The week and day views also show weekly weather information, so you can see the forecast next to the events you have planned for those days.
When you create an event you can set a recurrence pattern and the time zone it belongs to. This covers events that repeat on a schedule and events in a city other than the one your phone is set to.
Each event can have several notification options, so reminders can be set to suit how far ahead you need warning. Tasks are created in the same flow as events.
The app offers several widget types that place your calendar on the home screen. Each widget has an adjustable transparency setting, which changes how much of the wallpaper shows through behind the schedule.
A widget lets you see the next few days without opening the app. Which widget suits best depends on how much of the calendar you want visible at once.
The build we hold is Samsung Calendar 13.0.07 (APK) for Android 12 and up.
