Watch Active2 Plugin is a component that works inside Samsung's Galaxy Wearable Application. The Galaxy Wearable Application has to be installed first, and the plugin does not run as a standalone tool.
It handles the link between a Samsung phone and a Samsung watch. People who own one of these watches and use the Galaxy Wearable Application are the audience it is built for.
The plugin searches for nearby watches over Bluetooth, which is how a watch is found during setup. Services that depend on a registered Samsung account can use that account's details once the watch is linked.
The build we hold is Watch Active2 Plugin 2.2.08.24012541N (APK) for Android 6.0 and up.

Calendar entries, SMS messages and call logs on the phone are synced to the watch. Contacts are used by services that connect to the registered Samsung account rather than being copied as a separate list.
These syncs run through the Galaxy Wearable Application, so they depend on it being installed and set up.
Files stored on the phone can be transferred to the watch, and files from the watch can be received back. The plugin also installs plug-in apps for the watch and checks the phone's device identity so that app updates and plug-in installs can go through.
On watch models that support eSIM, the plugin can scan a QR code with the phone camera to activate the watch's SIM card. The camera is an optional permission, and the listing says it is used for this scan. The feature applies only to eSIM-model watches.
