Fakeit: Imposter Game is a group word game for parties, game nights, road trips and hangouts. Most players are shown the same secret word, while the impostors are not and have to bluff their way into the conversation.
The developer describes it as easy to pick up, so a group can start a round without a long explanation. Its rounds are built around talking, which suits people who are happy to improvise out loud.
Each player gives a hint about the word. The impostors have to hint in a way that sounds right without knowing what the word is, and the rest of the group tries to spot the gap. After the hints, players debate, accuse one another and vote on who they think the impostor is.
The impostors win if they slip away unnoticed. Each round is a new challenge, and the game can be played as a spy game or as an impostor challenge.
The free "Party Time" deck is the starting point. The listing describes it as handcrafted and gives its size as 9 categories and over 1000 words.
A subscription unlocks full access with no limits. Without it, the free deck is the content on offer.
The developer says the game can be played offline, so a group can play on a train, on a trip or at a gathering with no signal. Any number of people can join in, since the rounds rely on talking rather than individual screens.
The listing presents it as a game for mixed ages, with the content rated for all ages.
