Overwatch Rush joins the roster
GearUP, the Android game booster from GearUP Global, now supports Blizzard's Overwatch Rush. According to the developer's release notes, the update also adds other new game titles, though it does not name them.
For players, that means Overwatch Rush can be picked from the app's game list and routed through GearUP's servers. The changes come in version 4.0.8, which the developer also says includes bug fixes.
A game still in soft launch
GearUP says on its own blog that Overwatch Rush has entered soft launch. The company argues that players far from the Southeast Asian servers currently available can see high ping, input delay and dropped matches, and says its routing can help with that.
An earlier GearUP post said Blizzard began an Android beta in the Philippines on February 27, 2026, limited to that country. GearUP's page for the game now lists it among supported titles.
What the app does
GearUP is a network accelerator that sends a game's traffic over a different route to the game server, with the aim of lowering latency. The developer says it uses VPN technology only for that purpose.
The company has recently been promoting other game-specific offers on its official X account. They include a beta test of PUBG Mobile FLASH and a promo code for Escape from Tarkov players.
