Extra lines without a SIM card
U Mobile has added eSIM share lines to MyUMobile, its account app for customers in Malaysia. According to the developer's release notes, the latest update brings share lines with eSIM, along with security improvements and general fixes. The changes come in version 4.0.2.
A share line is an extra line billed under a postpaid principal account, often used for family members. Adding one as an eSIM means the line can go live on a compatible phone without anyone waiting for a physical card or visiting a store.
Ordered from the app, QR code by email
U Mobile's own guide to the app describes the process. Customers open 'Manage Share Line' under All Services, select desired sim type and number, then complete payment. If eSIM QR is selected, it will be sent to your email, according to the guide.
